1944 Greenland. 5 kroner. 13,45 g. S KM# 9. Ex. Kurt Goldberg; Ex. Denarius 

The 5 kroner from 1944 was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. It’s value was equivalent to one American Dollar, and it was mostly used by U.S. military personnel stationed in Greenland. The total mintage of this issue struck for the Danish colony was only 100,000 pieces. It has a high catalog value, but is a relatively easy coin in all grades up to Uncirculated.
